Lunar New Year 2027 lands on February 6 — the calendar starts now
Mark it down: Chinese New Year 2027 falls on February 6. It is the Year of the Goat, and for families who celebrate — or who simply want the most photogenic holiday portraits of the year — the red outfit season arrives fast. Photographers book out in December. Relatives fly in mid-January. And children’s festive pieces, especially in full size runs, sell through long before the fireworks.
That is why we are opening the red edit now, three months early. Here is what is in it, when to order, and how boutiques should read the clock.
The order-by math (parents’ version)
Every festive piece we sell is made properly or not at all:
- Made-to-order pieces need 3–5 weeks of production before they ship.
- In-season demand means December orders compete with every other family ordering the same sizes. Early orders get full size runs; late orders get what is left.
Working backward from February 6, 2027: order by early-to-mid December and your pieces arrive with weeks to spare for a first fitting, a growth spurt, and the holiday photos themselves. Order in January and you are gambling. If you need help matching a size, our first-time buying guide has the cm-to-age chart.
The red edit: five pieces built for the holiday
All five are from our AW2026 winter line — plush-lined, brocade-jacquard, cut for children who move. Each one is tested to GB31701-2015 Class A, the strictest children’s textile safety class, and machine washable on a gentle cycle.

The centerpiece. A sleeveless brocade bodice in deep red with woven gold beasts and clouds, over a plush white-sleeved body, finished with brown velvet collar and faux-fur hem. It reads “heirloom” in photos but wears like a padded dress — no stiff lining, full arm reach.

A softer take: traditional cross-collar lines, plush lining for warmth, and a swingy pleated skirt that twirls on cue. Two pieces, so the top keeps working after the holiday with leggings.

For boys, a front-open tang jacket in wine-red brocade with gold pattern, paired with lantern trousers in brown velvet. Front-open means an easy fight-free dressing experience on a busy holiday morning.

The cape dress is the one that made our Classic Winter best-seller list: one piece, dramatic on camera, and forgiving across two growth phases.
Two quick answers parents always ask
- Safety: Class A certified, sewn-down frog buttons, no neck drawstrings on toddler sizes. Details in our toddler safety checklist.
- Movement: roomy lantern and wide-leg cuts, soft waistbands, knit base layers underneath. Kids can squat, climb stairs, and receive red envelopes at a full sprint.
The order-by math (boutiques’ version)
If you buy for a store, move the deadline up, not back. Winter festive styles are a seasonal window: bulk production runs 6–10 weeks, and Chinese New Year is a hard date — a late delivery has no second purpose.
- Wholesale pricing runs $45–120 per set across the line, with a starter-friendly MOQ of 12 pieces per style — boutique quantities, not container quantities.
- Better windows, better terms: our wholesale program includes a flat 40% discount structure, a 25% end-of-season buyback on remaining stock, and T+7 restock on reorderable styles. Asking in November lands you February delivery with room to spare.
- Retailer support is built in: three store formats (boutique, standard, and flagship) with a decoration subsidy of 200 RMB per square meter or 30% of fit-out costs, no franchise fee, and a rotating free sample program of 150–240 pieces per year so your fitting room always shows the current season.
Which sizes to buy (or stock) first
Chinese sizing is by height in centimeters, so measure the child and match the tag:
| Height tag | Child’s height | Rough US age |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | 95–105 cm | 3T–4T |
| 110 | 105–115 cm | 4T–5T |
| 120 | 115–125 cm | 6–7 years |
| 130 | 125–135 cm | 8 years |
| 140 | 135–145 cm | 10 years |
Winter sets are cut to layer over base tops and leggings, so between two sizes, size up — it buys a second season of wear. Boutiques: the 100–120 band moves fastest for holiday photos, but keep a few 130s on hand; school-age siblings get photographed too, and an empty rack in late January is the one red no one wants to see.
For the story behind the red itself — the color parents are actually buying — link your sales team onto our cultural guide to wearing red. It converts.
Pick the date, beat the rush
Parents: browse the full collection, pick the size from the cm chart, and order by early December for relaxed February delivery.
Boutiques and distributors: request the wholesale catalog and terms now — CNY 2027 production slots are allocated in order of confirmed orders, and the red edit draws the earliest requests.
February 6 is closer than it looks. The early birds get the full size run.
