Private Label Childrenswear, Without the Guesswork
If you retail kidswear in the US, UK, Europe, Australia or the Gulf, you have probably considered putting your own label on a product line. The obstacle is never the idea — it is finding a manufacturer that can actually execute custom work on children’s garments: safe closures, compliant fabrics, consistent sizing, and small enough first runs to not bury you in inventory. That is the gap this page fills. Little Hanfu is a heritage kidswear label with an in-house design team and a production history built on custom commissions — and we open that capability to wholesale partners in three practical ways.

What Actually Sits Behind the OEM Capability
Private label promises are cheap; production records are not. A few verifiable facts about the operation:
- 20 in-house designers plus a flexible supply chain of 100+ partner workshops — so pattern-making, print development and grading happen in-house, while capacity scales for bulk.
- Couture small runs and bulk production run side by side. The same atelier that produces one-off ceremonial pieces also feeds department-store counters — 36 of them across China — so a 30-piece special order and a 3,000-piece bulk order follow the same QC pipeline.
- Three design bases: the Institute of Chinese Fashion Aesthetics (an industry-academia partnership with Hebei Academy of Fine Arts) and a design and sales center in Keqiao, Shaoxing — China’s textile trading capital, which keeps fabric sourcing fast and honest.
- A permanent evergreen library of 100+ classic styles, refreshed by 30–60 new styles every season and 150–240 new styles a year. For a private label buyer, this is a ready-made, market-tested base to customize from, rather than starting sketches from zero.
The Track Record: Custom Work We Have Already Delivered
Every claim below is a completed project, not a capability slide:
- CCTV Children’s Day Gala — original costume design for stage performances in both 2023 and 2024 (“Ruan Lang Gui · Early Summer” and “Xing Xiang Zi”).
- Beijing Central Axis UNESCO anniversary, 2025 — 150 children’s custom hanfu looks for the “Rainbow-Robed Central Axis” event, simulcast on national television.
- CCTV Finance “China Style Gala”, 2021 — 100 custom hanfu looks for a live-streamed runway production.
- Bona Film Group × Little Hanfu, 2024 — co-branded children’s merchandise for the Dream of the Red Chamber film.
- Forbidden City Cultural Creative, 2024 — a licensed children’s apparel collaboration.
- Uniform program, 2024 — staff and volunteer uniforms for the 8th Hebei Tourism Development Conference.
Film studios, broadcasters and a national museum system do not hand custom budgets to suppliers who miss deadlines. That is the standard the same team applies to your label.
Three Ways to Start a Private Label Order
Route 1 — Your label on ready-made styles
The fastest entry: choose styles from the evergreen classic library or current season, apply your branding, and ship. Ideal for boutiques and e-commerce sellers who want exclusivity without development risk. Minimums and label options are discussed case by case — tell us your market and volume first.
Route 2 — Made-to-order customization
Adjust colors, fabrics, prints or trims on existing patterns, or develop a capsule from our design team. Made-to-order production runs 3–5 weeks, with samples exchanged before bulk. This route suits gift brands, museum shops and cultural-event organizers.
Route 3 — Full bulk program
Seasonal program for established retailers: development, sampling, bulk production and shipping under one schedule. Bulk production runs 6–10 weeks from order confirmation. If you operate physical stores, our partnership program adds flat 40% wholesale pricing, T+7 restock and buyback protections — the full terms are on the wholesale and partnership page, and our guide to wholesale MOQ and sample orders explains how first orders are structured.

Compliance Comes Standard, Not as an Upgrade
Children’s garments leave no room for shortcuts on safety. All children’s production follows China’s GB 31701-2015 children’s clothing safety standard, Class A — the strictest class in the standard, covering small parts, cords and chemical safety for direct-skin-contact wear. Fabrics are cotton and washable silk-blends that survive repeated machine washing, because returns happen when clothes fall apart, not when they are beautiful. If your market requires additional documentation, raise it in the first call and we will confirm what the QC files can support.
How a Custom Brief Moves
The process is deliberately short:
- Send your brief — market, category, target retail price and expected volume. A WhatsApp button sits at the top of the wholesale page.
- Callback within 3 business days with a feasibility read and route recommendation (1, 2 or 3 above).
- Sampling — you approve physical samples before any bulk commitment.
- Production and shipping — 3–5 weeks for made-to-order, 6–10 weeks for bulk, shipped via DHL or FedEx. Typical delivery windows by region are detailed in our US, UK, EU and AU shipping guide.
Ready to Put Your Label on Heritage Kidswear?
Private label conversations are free and answered by people, not autoresponders. Open the wholesale and partnership page and tap the WhatsApp button, or send your brief through the contact page with three lines: your market, your volumes, and whether you want ready-made, made-to-order or full bulk. You will have a substantive reply — with a route and a timeline — within 3 business days. Browse the current collection first if you want to point at specific styles; that single detail makes the first callback twice as useful.
